About Us

My husband,Desi Arnaz Jr., purchased the Historic Boulder Theatre in 1997 and has lovingly restored the theatre and transformed it from a movie theatre (built in 1933) into a theatre for live performances. It's home to non-profit Boulder City Ballet Company and audiences have loved the shows Desi has presented over the years such as: A Tribute to Dean Martin, Ricci, Desi & Billy (that's Desi's band), Chautauqua, The Nutcracker, Coppelia, An Evening with Linda Purl, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and more.

Desi's longtime friend, Steve March TormeŽ, presents a loving tribute to the life and music of his father, the late Mel Torme'. It's a wonderful show with a Big Band backing Steve and includes never before seen photos and video of Mel and Steve singing together. There will also be a SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCE by Desi Arnaz Jr. Tickets are $35 and will be available beginning August 15th by calling the theatre at (702) 293-1161.


THE NUTCRACKER 2009:
Friday, December 11 at 7pm
Sat. December 12 at 1pm and 7pm
Sunday, December 13 at 1pm
Tickets will be available Saturday, September 26 from 9am-2pm for those who would like to purchase tickets in-person. Just stop by the theatre. After September 26, tickets will only be available by calling our office at (702) 293-1161.
All seats are $20 and reserved. Seniors $15.

The photos on this page were taken by our company photographer, Andy Cattoir (thank you Andy!) At top is the interior of our theatre. Being home to the ballet company, the stage is used by our dancers for classes and rehearsals during the week. Because our ballet company is our main priority, we rarely rent the theatre out for other events. Next is a photo of the theatre exterior, our lobby and finally a beautiful photo of Haley & Justin taken at The Nutcracker 2008 during the Grand Pas de Deux.

Most of the furniture in our lobby is from the home Desi's parents (Lucille Ball & Desi Arnaz) lived in during the late 1940's in Chatsworth CA. This furniture stayed in Desi's family and today is beautifully reupholstered and living happily in our quaint lobby.
