“COMMUNICATING WITH THE HISPANIC WORKFORCE”
 
This three part series explores key areas related to communication in the workplace.  The approach is practical and each presentation seeks to educate managers and supervisors about the cultural traits of their employees as well as provide tips to working situations in their particular industry.
  • “The Latino Culture” – Hispanic v. Latino/Ethnic Origin v Race; The concept of La Familia; General Education Level; Language Barrier.  Webinar is Wednesday, September 10 from 10:00 am – 11:00am.
  • “Cultural Traits in the Workplace” – Role of supervisor v worker; Group harmony; Definition of time; Team working v working in teams. Webinar is Wednesday, September 24 from 10:00am – 11:00am.
  • “Workplace Situations” – Writing materials – policies and procedures; Giving instructions; Presenting information; Company forms and production documents.  Webinar is Wednesday, October 15 from 10:00am – 11:00am

Class cost: $59/webinar for NAE members; $150 for the series of 3 webinars.
