Locals, Tourists, and Dollar Signs Oh My!
Not sure if you noticed but there was A LOT going on last weekend! We had the Reaper Madness Bike Series up in Bootleg Canyon, the Best Dam Wine Walk Mardi Crawl and the Hoover Dam Lodge hosted the Boulder City Art Guild Southwest Art Artist Reception. There was a lot of businesses that benefited from the large crowds roaming the streets of Historic Boulder City! We hope you enjoyed the extra business! Look for the next Wine Walk - the Wig Out Walk - happening on April 9. Want to get involved? Let us know! Unfortunately we cannot accomodate more stops with wine (we are at full capacity for our health department permit), however we are happy to help promote sales or specials your business might want to offer.

New Memory Care Open at the Homestead
Join The Homestead as they introduce their new Men's Memory Care unit Joshua's Way. They will be having an open house April 7 from 1:00-3:00 and 5:30-7:00. They will have tours and refreshments and a special gift for caregivers. Check it out!

ICYMI: Home Hardware Mixer

A grand time was had at our latest Mixer at Home Hardware! There was a scavenger hunt and several cool things were discovered. First....they have a greenhouse! Did you know?!? And they have seasonal flowers and plants available to the public! What a great way to support a local business! Head on in and check them out in case you missed the mixer.

Spring Jam Raffle Prizes

It's that time of year again! We are looking for local businesses to donate some raffle items to this year's Spring Jamboree Raffle. Spring Jam draws thousands of folks from all over the valley and artists travel from all over the west coast to showcase their works during this weekend long event. Raffle tickets are sold prior to and throughout the weekend and prizes are given away throughout the entire event. Want to take advantage of the traffic? What to donate? Anything! Gift certificates are always good as they drive people to your business. Some businesses give baskets, product, etc; but we have found that gift certificates really are the best way to take advantage of the attendance. Drop off your donation prior to May 1 at the Chamber office and let them know your donation is for the Spring Jam Raffle. We are happy to provide you a donation receipt for you as well; just let us know you need one!

Small Business Corner - Small Business and Security
No small business is too small to be hacked. Focusing on revenue over security is far from unusual for small business, but if owners don't take security seriously, it can end up with dangerous effects. The threat to small businesses is growing with 60% of all online attacks in 2014 targeted small and midsize businesses....click here to continue article via the NY Times.
