In case you missed the January Mixer at Firelight Barn, you missed some amazing entertainment and food, courtesy of Fox Smokehouse BBQ! February's Mixer is scheduled for the 8th at 5:30 p.m. at Staples in Henderson, on Lake Mead Pkwy and Water St. Hope you can make it!

Speaking of Fox BBQ, did you know they ranked No. 10 on Yelp's top 100 places to eat for 2017? If you haven't seen the great article the Boulder City Review wrote about Dan and Kelly Fox and their restaurant, make sure you check it out. Well deserved Fox Smokehouse BBQ!

Bella Marketplace Events
Bella Marketplace is hosting some great events for all ages in February. On the 11th from 12:30 - 3:00, they are hosting a kid's crafting event where they get to make Valentines while their parents shop. Then on Thursday, the 18th, they are having an an outside sale with regular shop hours 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. They have many handcrafted items along with a plethora of treasures. You don't want to miss their sales! They have some deep discounts and some unique items!

Pardinas BC, LLC to Host Free Class to HS Students
Pardinas BC, LLC a local bookeeping and Income Tax office is offering a free class to Boulder City High School working students. The class will be held at 9:00 a.m. on February 4 at the Boulder City Chamber Conference Room. Seating is limited, so to be sure you have a spot, complete the contact form at www. pardinasbc.com. Each student will learn how to file their income tax return so please bring their social security number and W-2s from every job they have worked in 2016, along with the usual stuff like date of birth, full legal name, etc. Assisting young adults how to responsibly complete a Federal Income Tax Return 1040 EZ helps to teach about them about the concept of taxes (sales tax, income tax, property tax, payroll tax, etc). Students will have various outcomes from the class to include what taxes are, who pays them, and why we pay them; the different types of taxes, goods and services that are paid with taxes and how to fill out a W4 form properly. Dam Short Film Festival Returns for 13th Anniversary
The Dam Short Film Festival is back February 8th-11th and will celebrate its anniversary with 22 film programs plus special screenings and events. The DSFF is a four-day program of independent short films in all styles and genres and is Nevada's largest film festival. Welcoming filmmakers and industry talent from all over, the festival aims at presenting a diverse array of international films this year. Approximately 100 filmmakers are expected to attend this event which offers 113 short films. The films are created by students, hobbyists, independent filmmakers and industry professionals. We hope you can join us for the Sweetheart Walk on Saturday February 11. Check in begins at 4:00 and will close at 6:30. We have some exciting changes this year! One of which is the requirement to get stamped at all of the stops. We are no longer doing a raffle at the end of the walk. This will enable participants to shop longer at your stores without having to worry about quickly moving on to the next one just to get stamped. The hope is you are able to engage them longer at your locations. We will be leveraging Social Media to engage folks as they stroll through the stops so please make sure you "like" our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages so we can tag you!
