Best Dam Wine Walk "Sweetheart Walk" Success

In case you missed it, the Chamber's first Wine Walk of the year was held on February 11. The "Sweetheart Walk" drew hundreds, in fact we more than doubled our attendance from last year! The downtown Historic District was buzzing as folks made their ways through 23 shops and businesses. There have been some changes this year and one of them is eliminating the need for the walkers to gather stamps or initials at every stop. We found that the activity of filling up their maps was moving them too quickly through the businesses. Now, the participants can take their time strolling through the shops instead of having to hurry just to get to the end of the walk. We have received some great feedback from the businesses, mostly that people stayed longer, mingled and had much more time to shop. Participants can still win prizes as we had Beauty Kitchen raffling off a basket and DeeDee Senko with Mary Kay offered samples and a wheel to spin for prizes. Additionally, those that follow our Facebook page, Best Dam Wine Walk, were featured on the page. We are looking forward to Mardi Crawl on Saturday March 11! Oh, and big thanks to Ruben's Wood Craft and Toys for the handmade wine walk signs! They were perfect and a great identifier of businesses that were on the map! Thank you!
