Relocation and Visitors Guide Coming Soon!

The Chamber's Annual Relocation and Visitors Guide is now in creation and we are in the process of selling ad space in that publication.  The Chamber has hired Beth Vandenburg to sell those ad spaces.  If you have advertised in the magazine previously, she will be contacting you soon to see if you'd like to continue that ad.

If you are a new member and would like to see a copy of this publication or have an ad in the guide, please email rana@bouldercitychamber.com, and she will have Beth contact you immediately.

The Chamber distributes these guides in all correspondence from the Chamber regarding visitation and relocation to Boulder City.  They are made available at all trade shows and events, available on the rack in the Chamber office and are provided to visitors centers all over Nevada.

An online version will be available to anyone visiting the Chamber's home page of the website.  It will be viewable and downloadable.  This online presence is in addition to your regular traffic catcher site.

This is the number one printed sales tool the Chamber uses in bringing guests to our community.  I highly recommend you consider being a part of this publication.

Boulder City Social

Have you checked it out yet?  We love it and are very excited to see the number of hits this site is getting in staying up on all the local social!

If you are one of the 2,100+ Facebook Fans of Boulder City Social, then you already know about the daily posts that Kathy Hicks sends out through their website and Facebook Fan page almost every day about what’s happening around our community.

We wanted to weigh in on Boulder City Social and let our members know that not only is this a Chamber approved endeavor – we are actually working with Kathy on several aspects of the project and even have the Chamber Event Calendar being displayed on the website.

This week’s launch of a new feature called Shop Local is very exciting, as it’s the beginning of merging their social community project with an economic development project that is designed to keep as much revenue as possible within our city limits. Businesses who participate in the Shop Local program not only get their own web pages on the site, but can also have their promotions broadcast to Boulder City Social Fans through their very active Facebook, Twitter and Daily/Weekly Emails.

We find so much value in this concept that we’ve worked out two different promotions with Boulder City Social for Chamber Members only:
1. We have negotiated a 20% discount for our members on their Shop Local pages of the Boulder City Social website (making the price $96/year).
2. If you are utilizing the Coupon feature of your Chamber of Commerce web page, Kathy will add a link to the coupon from your Shop Local page and help promote it for you in the Weekly eNewsletter under the Local Deals section.

But wait...there's more...We have further negotiated with Kathy to help you save more money this year by offering a free listing page within Shop Local for the remainder of 2010 and then she will honor the 20% discount in future years.

For more information on Boulder City Social, you can visit their website at www.bouldercitysocial.com or contact Kathy Hicks directly at (702) 635-8470.
