We want to make sure you know what's happening all over town and beyond! Did you know that Henderson events are posted on our calendar too? Yep! We have many businesses that are all over the valley who host events, are involved in events and so on. Make sure you bookmark the calendar page so you know where to be and when so you don't miss a thing! First off for December is our Monthly Mixer on December 13. (Psst, it's always the second Wednesday of the month!) We will begin at Vinnies and then move all around the Plaza, visiting all of the member businesses. We like to call this our annual Holiday Progressive Mixer! We also will be announcing Business of the Quarter, so make sure you are there! You won't want to miss it! Whew! What a fall/winter season it has been! Would you believe that we had over 200 glasses purchased at our November Wine Walk? That's 200 more people that are entering, browsing and hopefully buying at our Historic Downtown merchants and restaurants! The Wine Walk has been increasing in size steadily over the past three years and we are excited to bring it back, rounding out our 2017 year with the Ugly Sweater Walk. We will begin at Sew Eclectic (they reportedly have some amazing sake!) and make our way through 20 historic downtown merchants and restaurants. So grab your ugly sweater and come on out! See you Saturday 12/9 at 4:00 p.m. for check-in and glass purchase!

Red Mountain Choir presents All is Bright on December 8 & 9 at the Elaine K. Smith Center. Conducted by Lisa Gillespie with accompanist Ashely Peel, you'll be immersed into the holiday spirit! The Martha P. King Singers will also perform under the direction of LaNette Coker. Tickets are available at the Chamber office for $10 adults and free for students and children over 5 (under 5 not admitted, please). Tickets are also available at the door if you can't make it to the Chamber.

One of the primary goals of the Chamber is to increase membership year over year. Many of our members see the value they get out of their chamber memberships, whether that be in free advertising opportunities, social media presence and recognition, event sponsorships, education, advocacy or special pricing on events. Businesses also recognize that with a chamber membership comes a "stamp" of approval so to speak. They find they open their network to new clients, referrals from other businesses or network with larger companies for business to business opportunities. While we focus on our current members, we can't forget about many of the industries that are underrepresented in the Chamber. To help capture a great market of the underrepresented or lack of representation from certain industries, we will be going forward with a year long membership drive focused on expanding our current membership base, while providing value to our existing members.

Every month, there will be a new member special. Some months will only be a special offer for the new members, while the majority of months will include special discounts and perks for existing members that refer new businesses our way. In the month of January, we will begin by offering all new members that are referred by existing members, $25 off their first year's investment. The referring member will receive $50 off their renewal price. So if you are currently a Bronze member ($500 annual investment), your renewal will only be $450. Pretty cool? We'd love to talk to the businesses YOU do business with that are not members! Brina is amazing at helping our businesses identify tools and resources to leverage here at the Chamber that are virtually free and included in your membership. February's challenge will be announced in January! Let's just say, January and February will be a pretty big deal for all of our existing members!
