2018 Membership Drive

The 2018 Membership Drive is in full swing! Did you know that if you refer someone to the Chamber and they sign up, you get in on some additional perks?! Every month is different and March is social shout outs! What does that mean for your business? Well, the Chamber has a reach of over 2,000 followers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. When we tag a member in our posts, you have at least that many that see your business as well as an opportunity for a click through. A click through is when someone clicks on your business name and goes to your respective page. Every time your name is seen in a post, liked, commented on or shared, that post multiplies in reach; meaning that of the 2,000 people that engage with our channels, they are helping your brand and business be seen more. A share, a comment, a reaction on all channels is a potential customer to come through your doors or better yet, reach out to you for a service or product.

When you are a Chamber member, you are essentially endorsed by the Chamber which is a nationwide recognition that you are a verifiable member of the business community. Tourists or new residents often look at the Chamber first when they arrive in town and frequently call or stop by to ask about local businesses and things to do. When you're a member, you get mentioned first when our volunteers talk about Boulder City. As a Chamber member, visit with your vendors, customers and other business to business organizations and let them know what value you get out of your membership. Send them our way and we will assist with the details!

Monthly Mixers and Ribbon Cuttings

We are excited to announce that in addition to a set date for our Monthly Mixers, we will also be striving to have all of our Ribbon Cuttings on set dates as well. There may be an occasion where a Ribbon Cutting is on an off day, but our goal is to get them on the first and third Wednesday of every month. This will give our new members some additional dates, as well as help give us time to communicate it on all of our platforms. As always, check the calendar for all happenings and it's recommended that you save the calendar to your favorites as it is constantly updated. Ribbon Cuttings and Mixers are typically communicated on our Facebook page with a general reminder here in the Newsletter monthly. Make sure you give our page a "like" so you won't miss a thing! Speaking of which....our Monthly Mixer is Wednesday 3/14 (Pi Day!) at the Boulder City Art Guild inside the Boulder Dam Hotel. The fun begins at 5:30 and the ladies of the Guild know how to throw a party! See you there!

The Big Clean

Boulder City's inaugural Big Clean is set for Saturday, March 24 from 9am-1pm at Bravo Field. This is not a community clean up, rather more of a collection drive to help recycle some of the hard to dump items that you have lying around the house. The Blind Center will be on hand to destroy your old computers and can provide you a certificate of destruction for a small fee. Cell phones, wiring, parts and accessories will also be able to be taken. The Boulder City Library will be on hand taking in your new and gently used books, CDs and DVDs. You can bring new or used pet supplies and pet food for the homeless companions in our community! Shredding will be available on site and BCPD will be on hand to take in your expired or unused prescriptions. Spread the word and get collecting! See you there!
