Can you believe it's that time AGAIN?!? Up until two years ago, the Spring Jam Raffle was only open to vendors that participated in the weekend activities. Brina had an amazing idea to open up the donation pool to all of our member business as well and since then, our local businesses have donated hundreds of items to the Raffle. So here we are again! If your business would like to donate an item (from your business) or a gift certificate for products or services, please drop it by the Chamber office or we would be happy to come pick it up. Monica will be at the Raffle/Info booth all day Friday May 4 collecting items and selling tickets!

Volunteers are needed for Spring Jam weekend! Signups are posted in the Chamber office. We are looking for a few volunteers to help sell tickets at the Credit Union on Friday May 4, Raffle and Info booth volunteers, clean up, and more. Feel free and sport your businesses logo shirt and promote your business at the same time! Various shifts are available.

We are always excited to partner with other chambers in the region. Even though we are a world away, we rely on their members and customers to visit us here in Boulder City. Partnerships like the one we foster with the Henderson Chamber is one of the ways we encourage tourism to our town for events and activities. On April 26, we hope you will join us and the Henderson Chamber for a mixer at the Clark County Museum where we will help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the museum. The Chamber participated in our first ever kickball league through the Parks and Rec department. Let's just say our team did not leave unscathed! Despite injuries and some sore muscles, they made it (with some help from our cheer squad, led by none other than Jill!). Special thanks to Bryan Haraway from Sudz Laundromat, Sarah and Ted Iwinski from Serenity Salon, Aaron Medo from Medolac, Sam and Zach Knudsen from Boulder Creek and Kassie Ackerson, our very own Office Manager at the Chamber. They all did fantastic and if you're interested in joining the next team in March 2019, give us a holler. We may need some backups!

Join us at City Council Chambers on April 17 from 6:00-7:30 pm as we provide active threat training for employers. Topics covered will be active shooter incorporated with the "Run, Hide, Fight" philosophy, Fusion Center overview, See Something Say Something mindset, and Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR). There will be time for questions and answers. Hope to see you there!

Have you stopped by and checked out the goods at the thrift shop? The St. Jude's Ranch for Children Thrift Store was featured on Spike TVs "Thrift Hunters" where the host Bryan Goodman called the store "the best kept thrifting secret in the desert". New merchandise arrives weekly and all proceeds benefit the children that are living on campus. Sounds like a great place to add to your "ing's" to do in Boulder City; thrifting!

Join us for the last Wine Walk before summer! It's the Western Wine Walk and we will once again check-in at Grace Christian Academy beginning at 4:00 p.m. Flying Saucer/Area 52 is judging this month's costume contest, so make sure you stop in and say howdy!
