Health and Business Fair Postponed

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we have had to postpone the Health and Business Fair until the last part of October.  We will be notifying all members of the new date once it is confirmed.

We apologize for any inconvenience, and are looking forward to bringing this to you in the Fall.

Vote for BC

Boulder City has the opportunity to be spotlighted in the media, but it will take all of us to vote to make that happen.  Please go to the link below and vote for your favorite home town to be featured in an upcoming magazine article.

Republican Women's

Governor Jim Gibbons will speak at the Boulder City Republican Women luncheon on Thursday, May 20, 11:30 a.m. at Railroad Pass Casino Banquet Room. Gibbons is a candidate for Nevada Governor for the 2010 election. The audience will be given an opportunity to ask questions of the Governor.

Cost of the luncheon is $20 including tax and tip, and all interested women and men are invited. Seating is limited and reservations must be made by May 18, by calling the BCRW information hotline 393-1228, or e-mail bcgop@yahoo.com.

Albertsons

National Letter Carriers Annual Food Drive

This will take place this year on May 8, 2010 and Albertsons has partnered with Goodwill, United Way and the Girl Scouts to make this event an overwhelming success. All food donations will stay here in Boulder City and the recipient is Boulder City Emergency Aid. The girl scouts will be in front of Albertsons, but instead of selling cookies will be asking for donations for money to buy food with or non-perishable food donations.

All food is welcome, so look in your pantries and find that food you wanted to try but never ate. Foods from other retailers will be accepted and of course you can give the food to your letter carrier, but Albertsons will serve as a central location to drop off.

Boulder City Emergency Aid could use your support.

CETUSA
I am working with CETUSA a State Department approved organization that is looking for a family to house a foreign student for the academic year. These students have been carefully screened and it is a chance to show how friendly we Americans can be. My job will be to screen the applicants to see if the host family meets the standards required.
Life long friends have been made in this way. Students from Germany, France, Italy, Thailand and a total of 50 different countries want to come to America for an academic year at our local schools. Please have anyone interested contact me at 293-4147 and I can tell them more about it.
Thanks
Gordon Ball

Please mark your calendar for our monthly Mixer that will take place on Wednesday, May 12th at 5:30pm at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Henderson.  It is located behind Sunset Station on Warm Springs.

This beautiful facility is a venue not to miss.  Our host will give us a tour of the property and we will also be conducting our regular business meeting.

Also plan to attend the Ribbon Cutting of our newest member, The Corner Gallery, on Thursday, May 13th at 5:30pm.  Both events are a wonderful way to network and interact with your peer group.
