Please mark your calendars for June 19th from 6-9pm for the annual membership meeting and awards recognition event. This year, we will be celebrating all the many volunteers and their service to this phenomenal community. We will also be highlighting one of Boulder City's icons, the Boulder City Municipal Golf Course. It's beautiful grounds have hosted countless hours of golfing enjoyment and soon the Chamber's big party.
We will have a fun and interactive menu that allows you to grill you're own food and socialize at the the "Q". We will emphasize networking and reconnecting with your fellow business owners. We will also have a new and exciting fund raiser taking place that you won't want to miss. The grand prize will be $500 cash!! But most importantly, we will recognize the wonderful volunteers that have been on the Board for the previous term and will welcome the new Officers to their posts. We will also have the opportunity to honor the most deserving award recipients with special recognition for all they have given to Boulder City. HOTTEST DAM BBQ CHALLENGE On Friday and Saturday May 28 and 29, 2010, The Rotary Club of Boulder City will present its Sixth Annual Best Dam Barbecue Challenge. This highly promoted event draws approximately 15-20,000 people from around the Las Vegas Valley. Serving as the Nevada State Championship competition, this event serves as a qualifier for national competitions and draws 40-50 competing teams from all around the country. Aside from the competition, there is a car show, live entertainment, food and drink, old fashioned games in the park, and new this year- the Verizon Family Fun Zone. We would love to invite all chamber members out to enjoy the event and also wanted to let you know about an opportunity to promote your business or service to the 40-50 competing teams. Each team will be given a goody bag filled with Boulder City specific items upon check in. If you are interested in reaching these potential customers, we would like to have your promotional items to put in their goody bags. We would prefer trinkets and other goodies as opposed to just coupons and literature. If you have coupons or other literature, please attach them to your give-away to whet their appetite for your business. We will be filling the goody bags on the evening of Thursday, May 27. If you would like to participate, please gather 50 items and contact Beth Walker, committee member to arrange pick up or delivery of your items. you can also call Beth at 277-4121 if you have any other questions about the goody bags or any other facet of the event. BOULDER CITY HOSPITAL HEALTH SCREENINGS Boulder City Hospital will be performing Health Screenings at the Senior Center on Tuesday, June 8 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Both the Osteoporosis and Basic Lab Screenings will be offered during this time.
