DE Trading Post Extends Mixer Sale

So if you missed the Mixer last night at the DE Trading Post, you made a mistake.  The turn out was phenomenal and the event was a major success.  Aaron and his family and staff did an amazing job hosting our members and gave away over $500 in door prizes.

Aaron offered the members a 30% discount and has generously decided to extend that offer to any member through the end of June.  When you stop in, please identify yourself as a member and they'll be glad to discount your select items.

Thanks again to all those that attended and to DE Trading Post for a marvelous time.

BMX holds an important fundraising event

May 20th, Kris White was involved in an unfortunate crash at Ed Fountain BMX.  Kris was transported to UMC medical center where afer X-rays and CT-scans it was determined that he had 3 fractures in the vertebrae of his cervical spine, C4.C5 & C6.  He was immediately taken into surgery that night and came out of surgery around 6am the next morning... Kris was originally thought to be a quad or paraplegic when he came in.

Since then a lot has happened and Kris has fought his way back to being able to move his arms, legs and even walk with assistance.  Kris is currently in treatment at Craig Hospital in Englewood, CO which specializes in spine injury rehabilitation.

"Kris and his wife Natalie would like everyone to know that they appreciate all the Thoughts, Support and Prayers Kris received in these difficult times"

Kris has still a long road ahead so please continue your prayers and support for a speedy and hopefully full recovery.

Anyone interested in making a Donation to help Kris and his wife, please go to any US BANK and say that you want to make a deposit to a Donation account under the name Kris E White.

This weekend is a BMX event at the Boulder City track.  All entry fees from racers and audience will be donated to Kris's care.  Please check out the BMX track and support Kris's family also.

Senator Reid

REID INTRODUCES AMENDMENT TO EXTEND TRANSACTION CLOSING DATE FOR FIRST TIME HOMEBUYERS

Amendment would extend first time homebuyer tax credit transaction closing date from June 30th to September 30th

Washington, DC – Nevada Senator Harry Reid today joined with Senators Johnny Isakson of Georgia and Chris Dodd of Connecticut to introduce an amendment to the American Jobs and Closing Tax Loopholes Act of 2010 that would extend the deadline for closing home purchases in order to qualify for the first time homebuyer tax credit.  The current deadline for purchases made using the popular tax credit is June 30, 2010.  There is growing concern that because of the time it takes for banks to complete transactions such as short sales, many of these home purchases would not be complete before the deadline through no fault of the homebuyer.  The Reid, Isakson and Dodd amendment would extend the deadline to September 30, 2010, to ensure the completion of the sales.

“The first time homebuyer tax credit was very popular and successful in Nevada,” Reid said.  “In addition to making it easier for thousands of Nevadans to purchase their first home, it helped reduce the sitting inventory of homes.  By extending the transaction deadline, we can ensure that everyone taking advantage of this credit can complete the purchase of their new home.”
