Entertainment Under the Stars Tuesdays in July

ENTERTAINMENT UNDER THE STARS OUTDOOR CONCERT SERIES

Make plans now to come to 16th Annual Entertainment Under the Stars each Tuesday in July from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at 4-corners park next to Putnam Funeral Home.  Four great bands are lined up and ready to perform on our outdoor stage.
Kicking off the season on July 7th is Jim Stout and Friends.  Stout and Friends will have your toes tapping to familiar folk, blues and country classics sounds. Home to Coldwater, Stout has performed for years all over the country and draws a large crowd wherever he goes.  Plan to arrive early for a good seat, bring your lawn chair or a blanket and cool off with root beer floats from the Methodist Men!  Opening night is sponsored by Taylor’s Stationers and Kiess Jewelry.
The July 14th concert will feature a new band to our series from Irish Hills… the Metros!  Founded in 2013, the Metros are 4-piece, high-energy band playing classic rock from all around the state!  Featuring Shay Owens on vocals, Gordy Sharpe on drums/vocals, Scott Allen on lead guitar and Matt Buie on bass guitar/vocals.  Girlscouts will be selling water and candy to raise funds for their 2016 trip to Savannah.  A huge thanks goes out to the sponsors who made week two possible, Century Bank and Trust and the Branch County Association of Realtors!

Join us on July 21st to hear the Moon Howler Band!  Five talented musicians from Coldwater, Sturgis, Hillsdale will take the stage and entertain you with laid back swaggery blues and old school sounds.  Moon Howler features David Munn on drums, Dave Weber on guitar, Jeff Hart on keyboard, Gary Cline vocals and Dave Fasick on bass.  This night made possible by our sponsors, Longstreet Living and The Daily Reporter.
For the final performance on July 28th, come early for Family Promise’s 13th Annual Hog Roast from 5-7pm at the Methodist Church, 26 Marshall Street (just north of the concert).  After dinner, the entertainment series will conclude with a grand finale performance from the band Shades of Grey!  What you’ll witness is more than just great music, it is also a reunion of musicians and friends from miles around!  We are pleased to welcome Chris Edwards (guitar) traveling from Virginia, Tom Puyear (keyboard) from Holt, MI, Jim Voss, (drummer) Coldwater, MI, Jeff McGinnis (vocals) from Battle Creek, MI, Nick Lilak (guitar) of Bloomington, IL (drums) from Dexter, MI!  Don’t miss this once a year opportunity to hear a variety of sounds from the 60’s & 70’s.  If you see a member of the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary Club, please thank them for sponsoring this entire evening!  Their generous donation makes this performance possible.

Again, the concert will take place in the park, next to Putnam Funeral Home beginning at 7 p.m.  Bring your own lawn chair or blanket and come enjoy live outdoor entertainment on a warm July evening.  Some chairs will be available for senior citizens, thanks to Putnam Funeral Home.
