Chuck Wicks to be Headliner at Momboosa Music Festival! The Line Up:Chuck WicksEveryone has heard the phrase “practice makes perfect” and though it’s a mantra more often associated with sports than songwriting, it’s just as apropos for that vocation as any other endeavor--just ask singer/songwriter Chuck Wicks. Though he took the country format by storm with his Top 5 debut single, “Stealing Cinderella,” and his Top 15 follow-up hit, “All I Ever Wanted” (and recently earned a whole new audience of fans as a celebrity contestant paired with real-life girlfriend Julianne Hough on the ABC mega-hit Dancing with the Stars), it hasn’t all come easy. Wicks spent several years paying his dues by parking cars and writing songs. He developed his craft, apprenticing with some of the top songwriters on Music Row. That hard work pays off on Starting Now, Wicks’ RCA Nashville debut album, which showcases the depth of his artistry as a vocalist and songwriter.
Alex WoodardAlex Woodard, who hails from Southern California brings his unique brand of surfer - country music styling to the Momboosa stage. Gerorge Varga, Music Editor of the San Diego Union Tribune, says that “Woodard's well-crafted songs are cut from the same cloth as Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Jim Croce, Rodney Crowell, and John Mellencamp, whose music eloquently captures earthy truths about living, loving and growing older without losing the dreams of youth." Chris Gardner BandMomboosa Music Festival has also announced that the Chris Gardner Band will be one of four bands playing at the Festival on July 17, 2010. The five-member band has opened for such country stars as Chris Young, Luke Bryan, Love and Theft and Sarah Buxton. Their inspiration comes from the likes of Third Day, Zac Brown Band and Keith Urban. The Momoboosa Music FestivalMomboosa Music Festival is a summer-long celebration consisting of five wine/beer walks, a pre-show concert at Bailey Creek Golf Course on Saturday, July 3 and the return of the all day music festival at the Chester Meadow located between the Lake Almanor shoreline and Chester, Calif., on Saturday, July 17, 2010. This year’s festival, produced by Liquid Blue Events, will showcase musical performances from the Chris Gardner Band, Alex Woodard and more.
