Fire Sirens Thrift Shop Open for Business!

The Fire Sirens was established in 1970 with the net proceeds from the shop used to support Peninsula Fire District. Current membership is approximately 165 with 20+ active volunteers who sort, price and sell on Wednesday and Saturdays from 10am to 2:00pm through the fall.
“The Sirens” are pleased that they have been able to raise enough monies over the past 51 years to subsidize some of the following: firefighters training fees and supplies; ambulance supplies ($25,000 from 2012-present); 10 self-contained breathing apparatus ($4,370); contributed $45,000 for the purchase of an ambulance; funds for five sets of turnouts ($12,999); three medical suction units ($3,313); one defibrillator ($39,390); half the cost of another ($17,459) and water rescue gear ($4,165).

“We can’t wait to see some of ‘our regulars’ as well as the many newcomers to the basin; and we are confident they will find many treasures as well as that perfect item for your home and have an enjoyable time just window shopping,” adds Monique.
