The Best Western Rose Quartz Inn, this year's major sponsor of Street Rod invites you to Chester Park this Saturday morning to enjoy the sights, sounds and fun of the the 24th Annual Street Rod Extravaganza.  

Come and indulge in a mouth watering BBQ provided by the Chester Rotary Club and play a poker hand, by car or on foot!

There is still time to register Friday Night at Avonna's Critter Clippers 163 Main St, Chester or Saturday morning at the Park.

Start your engines!  Second Fridays, the 24th Annual Street Rod Extravaganza and  Elk's Taco Night meet this Friday!

Visit Old Town, Chester as the streets fill with classic cars and taste the experience of Almanor on a night alive with the music of Rob Steen and Stone & Straw, local food, arts and crafts, Lake Almanor merchants, farmers market and visitor information,   5 - 7:30 pm

And, if that is not enough!  End the evening at a 50's Sock Hop at the Bear Club in the Almanor Bowling & Golf Center, 376 Main Street Chester, 8 - 2 pm or dance to Loose Change both nights at Plumas Pines Resort, 8 - 2 pm.  

Saturday brings the second day of Street Rod, the Lassen Park Foundation Dinner and Art Auction and the Dave Alcorn Golf Tournament!  Check it out!

Honorary Mayor Race Heats Up

Donyale Logan has thrown her hat (or skates) into the ring for Honorary Mayor.  Donyale is campaigning to support the project to build a multi-use skate park in Chester.  The Multi-Use Skate Park Committee is working to provide the youth of our community with a high quality, safe place to skate.

When asked how Donyale's campaign committee felt about her competition in the race, they reported that though she may currently be "wagging" behind the competition, she is definitely up for the challenge!
