Hampshire Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director The Hampshire Area Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization that currently serves 150 members in the greater Hampshire area, and is now looking for a new Executive Director to lead the chamber to further success and growth. Job Description: The Executive Director reports to the Board of Director of the Hampshire Area Chamber of Commerce and is responsible for the effective leading of the organization, such that it successfully achieves its mission of service to its members. Specific areas of responsibility include: • Membership retention and growth • Project management • Liaison with the Board of Directors, Chamber members, community members, governmental agencies, and other key leaders • Assessing needs of Chamber membership and community; implementation of the strategic plan to meet those needs • Administering the organization by overseeing the day-to-day work as needed including financial management.

Qualifications:
Job Qualifications: The Executive Board has high expectations for this visionary leader. Requirements include: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related discipline plus 2-4 years of related business, organization, or association management experience. Will consider combination of education and experience. • Experience as a Chamber of Commerce Executive Director a plus, or some leadership role in a chamber is strongly preferred. • Able to establish strong rapport and working relations with a diverse public, ranging from entrepreneurs to municipal leaders. This should include a good sense of how to motivate and empower volunteers and volunteer-led committees. • Presents a professional and positive image to members and the community through appearance, demeanor, and comments. • Proven success in persuasive and empowering communication, including use of social media and other technologies. • Use of QuickBooks, Chamber Master, Constant Contact, and website administration a plus. This position requires flexibility in hours including early morning, late evening, and occasional weekend activities. This is a full-time exempt position. Compensation package ranges from 35,000-38,000 depending on experience and qualification. The offer to the applicant is contingent on a background criminal and credit check.
