SEASONAL P/T WORK - APRIL TO OCTOBER

Mosquito Joe provides mosquito control services to residential and commercial customers, repelling and killing outdoor pests such as mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas. Our technicians travel to customer homes to apply barrier spray solutions that keep their yard mosquito free for 21 days .

What Our Technicians Do

Visually inspect and treat for mosquitoes.
Maintain good customer relationships.
Take personal initiative and responsibility for correcting any problems.
Maintain chemical records according to state requirements.
Participate in team meetings.
Complete licensing requirements and continued education requirements.
Thoroughly explain to the customer the expectations for services and procedures.
Market Mosquito Joe services by placing door hangers on neighboring houses and posting signs in yards - before/after servicing; rainy days

Requirements

MUST obtain an Commercial Operator License through the Illinois Department of Agriculture. (Information will be provided to obtain this license)
Valid driver's license.
Able to walk customer property while carrying equipment weighing around 60 lbs. for long periods of time in warm temperatures.
Comfortable driving to customer locations and familiar with local area.
Self-confident and professional.
Friendly with exception customer service skills
Detail oriented and reliable.
Willing and able to work flexible hours.

If you have a certification in pest control, please include this information. Hourly pay ranges from 10-12 p/h and will be determined on experience and current licensing/certifications.

Operator License information can be found on the Illinois Department of Agriculture or University of Illinois websites. Contact the University of Illinois Extension office to obtain General Standards books ($15). You can schedule an appointment with the Department of Agriculture in Springfield, IL to take exam and obtain the Commercial Operator license. Cost for license is paid by the company.
