JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Prepares meals for the Residents of Eden Village.

Maintains the kitchen in an orderly manner as related to cooking utensils, equipment, etc.
Reports all malfunctioning equipment to the Director of Dining Services or the Environmental Services Coordinator as necessary to facilitate quick repair/service.
May participate in making food orders, logging in deliveries, etc.
Follows menus and recipe directions/procedures in the preparation of all food items.
Participates as a member of the tray line team by plating meals in an attractive and accurate manner.
Plates/serves staff meals and other special requests as necessary.
May participate in food delivery to various serving locations.
May participate in food preparation for catered events.
Completes prep work for upcoming meals/events as necessary.

2) Assures sanitation of the kitchen and proper storage of food supplies.

Maintains freezer, cooler, and dry storage areas in an orderly and regulation-compliant manner.
Assures sanitation for kitchen through self-performed cleaning activities and oversight of other staff accountabilities.
Completes temperature checks for food served and for various equipment (freezer, cooler, ovens, etc.) and logs such information as instructed.
Completes sanitation checks as assigned and logs information as instructed.

Qualifications:
Must be eligible to work in the United States. Must be willing to undergo and pass a background check. Must have Sanitation Certificate.

Comments:
Position is full time. Rate of pay is negotiable based on experience.
