Summary: In addition to performing and overseeing general property and equipment maintenance, aesthetics, and safe operations of attractions and the facility, the following duties and responsibilities are encompassed in this job title.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities* include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Daily walk-around of facility to identify and correct safety, operational, and aesthetic concerns
2. Cleaning, scrubbing, sweeping, and washing of equipment, restrooms, and/or facility in general
3. Painting, caulking/siliconing, floor buffing, minor carpentry work, and other finish-type tasks
4. Light mechanical, primarily for small engines and go-karts, including but not limited to changing oil, changing and rotating tires, monitoring/maintaining brakes and bearings, changing belts, etc.
5. Light electrical, including but not limited to replacing ballasts, changing outlets/switches/breakers, diagnosing and repairing low-voltage 36v battery systems on electric bumper boats, etc.
6. Light plumbing, including but not limited to repairing toilets, repairing exposed and/or buried waterlines, repairing traps and drains, etc.
7. Landscaping, including but not limited to mowing, weed eating, roundup application, planting and maintaining flower beds, installing split rail fencing, etc.
8. Manage general operations of fun center, including but not limited to maintenance of staff schedule, continual monitoring of team member performance to ensure safe, friendly, legal operations, delegate tasks and responsibilities during times of low volume, understanding and enforcement of rules and regulations of the facility, guest interaction and quality assurance, and maintaining a comprehensive view of the facility from every angle.
9. Preventative maintenance of equipment, including but not limited to, changing filters in HVAC units, cleaning evaporator coils in cooling equipment, checking/tightening/changing belts on belt-driven fans, etc.
10. Monitor ride operations closely and enforce all training, including safety, procedures, regulations, guest interaction, and equipment operation.
11. Understand company and regulatory policies regarding safe operation, and when available, communicate such policies to team members and/or guests if necessary.
12. Assist in continual education of staff so they understand why certain policies are in place.
13. Issue citations and/or terminate staff, when necessary, at your discretion and according to the ESP handbook and employment manuals.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages subordinate team members in the Island Adventures Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these individuals. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, firing, citing, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems with team members and guests; creating and maintaining schedules in order to meet demand; receive phone calls and/or text messages and take immediate steps to correct and/or communicate the solution to such issues as equipment breakdowns, emergencies, team member no-shows, questions/issues, or other immediate needs.

Valid driver’s license with record that is acceptable to ESP’s insurance carrier required. Must have ability to tow company equipment and landscaping trailers with company vehicle.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals and groups of customers and the general public.

Math Ability:
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to use cash register and count back change.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of payroll software, Internet software, order processing systems, and data acquisition system. Must be able to research questions, issues, problems online or via other means.

Education/Experience:
Experience in essential functions and supervisory experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The team member is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


Comments:
Work Schedule:

The team member must be able to work a varying full-time schedule from April – September, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The schedule from October – March will be part time, and days/hours may be flexible at the request of the team member. The team member’s schedule may vary based on their requests or by those of the Company, provided the facility is staffed (summertime) and equipment is fully operational in their absence. Certain times will be mandatory, including but not limited to Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, holidays, and other times of elevated volume.

Compensation Package:
-Pay range between $16/hr and $19/hr depending on experience
-Matching Safe Harbor 401k after 1 year of employment, with discretionary profit sharing option**
-Health insurance paid at 80% of premium after successful completion of 90-day probationary period
-40 hours paid vacation after 1 year of employment; 80 hours paid vacation after 5 years of employment
