Job Summary: A client in Madison County is looking for a Human Resources Specialist / Financial Assistant to join their team. The Human Resources Specialist / Finance Assistant duties include but are not limited to:
•Clerical and technical support to the finance department
•Support to the auditing, financial reporting and responsible for administration of subordinate bank account support, property usage reports and other accounting duties as assigned
•Determines staffing needs and develops approaches to meet those needs
•Administers performance management program, trains staff in: coaching, feedback techniques & formal performance appraisal
•Customer service support to internal/external customers
•Maintains relationship with benefit broker, processing benefit claims & overseeing open enrollment activities
•Participate in recruitment efforts by posting internally and externally
•Conducts new employee orientation
•Maintain human resource information system records and employment files
•Follows collections procedures for outstanding debtors
•Assists with audit preparation

Location: Madison County, IL
Position type: Full Time, Evaluation Hire
Pay: Up to $42,000/yr, BOE
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8a-5:30p


Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
•Minimum of 1 year of human resource experience & 2 years of work experience in business office setting performing various clerical, computer or administrative support tasks
•General education and specialized training in spreadsheets & bookkeeping/accounting
