Job Summary: Our client in Madison County is looking for a Shipping Production Specialist to join their team. Duties include but are not limited to:
•Read and interpret work orders including bills of material and manufacturing instructions
•Weigh and measure specific amounts of raw materials and finished goods using floor, platform, bench scales and drum pumps
•Operate a 50” oil bath machine, a 60” Southworth Sheeter, a 60” Dexter Lawson flatbed cutter, a high-speed mixer and small pumps, power torque driver, sealers and conveying equipment
•Setup equipment to ensure proper quantities and or sizes are maintained
•Fill out data sheets indicating raw materials consumed in the various production processes
•Program or adjust operating machinery as required to maintain tolerances
•Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on equipment
•Change heavy gears and heavy/sharp cutting knifes (blades)
•Programs and operates inline printing equipment for both containers and cartons
•Clean and replace “wear parts” of the equipment used in the performance of this position
•Pick and pack sales order shipments for both domestic and international shipments
•Label, mark cartons as required by shipment regulations
•Update computer system(s) with, but not limited to, shipped quantities, weights, freight costs
•Complete bill of ladings and other shipping documents as necessary
•Load and unload LTL and TL carriers as required using both fork trucks and pallet jacks
•Operate stretch wrap, carton banding and other shipment related equipment as necessary
•Follow procedures for the safe handling and storage of products (SDS are provided)
•Operate fork trucks and pallet jacks (electric and manual) with up to 5,000 lb. capacities
•Frequently lift, carry and stack cartons and or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
•Occasionally lift shafts weighing 75 lbs.

Pay: $15/hr, BOE


Qualifications:
•High School or GED equivalent
•3-5 years’ experience in a shipping and receiving or related production environment
•Proficiency in basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, divisions and fractions)
•Ability to use windows based computer systems
•Physically capable of standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy items
•Pass company provided test (both written and operating) covering safe fork truck operations
•Pass company provided test (bi annually) covering the proper labeling/marking/shipping of hazardous materials
