Position Overview: Performs land survey activities in Edwardsville and Greater St. Louis area

Summary of Duties:
• Works on utility and private land surveying in the Greater St. Louis and Edwardsville, IL area
• Develops and nurtures relationships with clients and potential clients, educating the community on the services available, and supporting the UDS team
• Conducts and oversees field work including topographic and boundary surveys related to the construction of gas and/or electrical power systems
• Researches land boundaries and other survey data at Courthouses and in public records to assist in identifying legal boundaries
• Creates and organizes field notes
• Writes land legal descriptions and develops survey exhibits
• Performs survey activities associated with any gas or electric project with little to no supervision
• Performs construction design, and occasional Right of Way work


Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, geography, or construction management preferred
o Survey courses required
• 3+ years' experience conducting topographic and boundary surveys under the direction of a PLS
• Professional land surveyor license – Missouri & Illinois
• AutoCAD and Micro Station experience
• Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a vehicle; clean driving record
• Must have solid MS Office skills
