JOB SUMMARY
We are a growing independent insurance agency and we are looking for the right person to help us
achieve the next level of success. You will receive guests, coordinate the communication flow in the
office, and provide clerical support to all Associates. Position requires a professional presentation,
manner and voice, the ability to switch direction to handle unforeseen projects in a timely manner, a
positive mental attitude and resourcefulness. Provides administrative and clerical support to enhance
the agency’s performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
• Creates positive first impression on behalf of the agency whether in person, via correspondence, or over the telephone.
• Service incoming phone calls and/or transfer to appropriate department.
• Greets guests in a professional manner; directing them to the appropriate person.
• Ensures all VIP leads and referrals are followed up on in a timely manner.
• Coordinates celebrations, communications with the public, clients, carriers, producers, and agency personnel as requested by supervisor.
• Opens, sorts, stamps, scans and distributes incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail, including courier items.
• Maintains office supplies as needed, ordering, verifying delivery, and stocking supplies.
• Performs miscellaneous clerical functions as requested, identifying opportunities to enhance the efficiency of various office procedures as needed.
• Utilize the agency management system on a continual basis to update and maintain customer files.
• Other responsibilities and duties may be assigned.

Education, Skills and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of insurance related clerical experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is preferred.
• Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and to work well under pressure.
• Must maintain confidentiality in daily operations.
• Other skills that are required:
