Do you want to use your clinical skills to support unaccompanied immigrant children as part of a vibrant, supportive team? EnCircle is hiring a Licensed Lead Clinician to support children in our new Transitional Foster Care program in Richmond, VA. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, knowledge of immigrant communities and trauma is also extremely helpful. Our Lead Clinician will carry a caseload, manage clinical services, and supervise an additional mental health clinician. EnCircle’s new Long-Term Foster Care program will serve unaccompanied immigrant children in the custody of Office of Refugee Resettlement who will be living with foster families while attending public school, working through the immigration process, and preparing for independence. Our Lead Clinician will support and ensure the comprehensive service delivery of clinical services in a Transitional Foster Care program for unaccompanied children. You will offer consultation and trauma-informed expertise to program staff and stakeholders to promote stable foster placements and provide clinical feedback. Additionally, the Lead Clinician will provide direct supervision of clinicians and conduct training during the onboarding process for new staff as needed.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, REQUIREMENTS AND PREREQUISITIES

Master's degree in social work and two years post-graduate direct service delivery experience AND Licensed to provide clinical services in Virginia OR
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement, and two years of post-graduate direct service delivery experience AND Licensed to provide clinical services in Virginia.
Must have supervisory experience in direct service delivery with the ability to effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities.
Bi-lingual English and Spanish, required.
Experience in child welfare/case management, strongly preferred.
Prior experience working with immigrant and/or refugee populations,
Trauma-informed training for serving immigrant or vulnerable populations, preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal communication, group leadership skills, public speaking, and clinical and persuasive writing skills.
Ability to work under stress or in a fast-paced environment, including crisis situations.
Strong organizational skills with knowledge of financial, human resource and marketing requirements.
Computer literacy and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job
Valid Driver’s License, proof of automobile insurance and positive driving record to transport minors in own vehicle if needed required.
Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency.
Willing and able to be on an on-call rotation for emergency response situations.
Willing and able to work a variable schedule including weekend and evening hours.

Experience
Required

1 year(s): Supervisory experience in direct service delivery with the ability to effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support and supervise clinicians with service delivery, documentation, and client related issues.
Coordinate and provide direct therapeutic services to clients and community as needed including group work and family therapy.
Facilitate comprehensive clinical related training to new program staff and interns.
Ensure ORR and the program’s internal documentation practices and reporting requirements are met in following with contract and licensing standards.
Participate in staff meetings with stakeholders and offer clinical feedback regarding client treatment needs.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with funding sources, licensing sources, families, and collaterals.
Attend, facilitate, and assist with providing on-going education and support services to foster families.
Participate in data collection and review to evaluate individual and program success – set goals for improvement based on overall strategies and objectives.
Provide crisis intervention and guidance to staff regarding clinical components of crisis intervention and short-term treatment strategies.
