DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

As a bilingual Sexual Violence Client Services Coordinator & Victim Advocate, you will play a crucial role in leading all activities related to our services for victims of sexual violence. Your main responsibilities will include (comprising 75% of work time):
- Provide strong leadership in coordinating all aspects of our sexual violence victim advocacy services.
- Show understanding and respect for our organization\'s values and mission while interacting with clients and the community.
- Follow our organization\'s policies and procedures diligently and ensure their correct implementation.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to calls from survivors, their family members, friends, and other service providers.
- Provide compassionate and culturally sensitive counseling services to survivors of sexual violence.
- Help clients access necessary resources such as shelter, court accompaniment, hospital support, and transportation.
- Organize and facilitate support groups to create a safe space for survivors of sexual violence to connect, share experiences, and heal together.
- Support clients in developing safety plans, building support networks, and healing from trauma and abuse.
- Make referrals to appropriate services for legal, medical, financial, housing, and other needs.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting, including recording client information and feedback.

In order to actively promote The LIVE Center\'s mission and services, the bilingual Sexual Violence Client Services Coordinator & Victim Advocate will support the following activities (comprising 25% of work time):
- Assist in the growth and development of our organization to further our mission.
- Represent our organization in relevant coalitions, caucuses, and task forces focused on addressing sexual violence.
- Contribute to organizing and participating in community events, forums, trainings, and cultural celebrations to raise awareness about sexual violence.
- Help with basic administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations.

Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's Degree required, background in the mental health field preferred.
- Bilingual English-Spanish and Bicultural.
- Knowledge of immigration policies and regulations is strongly preferred.
- Ability to maintain a compassionate and professional approach while working with people in crisis situations.
- Excellent writing, public speaking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multitask.
- Strong computer skills. Experience with Google Tools, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
- Reliable transportation and a valid VA state drivers license.
- Successful background check.
- Demonstrate effective critical thinking strategies and appropriate decision making.
- The position requires some local and statewide travel, as well as some early morning, night, and weekend hours.
