The Angola Fire Department is seeking individuals who possess the desire to be a servant for our community as a part-time firefighter. Part-time firefighters perform various assignments that include shift coverage to supplement staffing, responding to fire emergency calls, department training exercises, and community service events.
If you currently hold certifications in Firefighter I & II or equivalent, Emergency Medical Responder level or above and HazMat Awareness and Operations and the willingness to commit your time, you may qualify for the opportunity to serve our community.
Pay Range: $15.00 per hour - $21.00 per hour (starting rate is based on experience)
Hours of work will vary and are based on the needs of the department.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:
•Be a High School graduate or High School Equivalency or GED holder
•Hold a valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
•Hold current certification in Firefighter I & II or equivalent, Emergency Medical Responder level or above, and HazMat Awareness and Operations Certification
•Pass and maintain physical fitness requirements, respirator medical certification and pre-employment and annual medical standards.
•Submit to and pass a drug screen and driving and background check.
