Serves as Administrator for Steuben County Health Department, responsible for managing Department programs, including environmental health, public health nursing, emergency preparedness, and vital records.

DUTIES:
Supervises and directs Health Department staff, including administering personnel programs, informing staff of organizational and HR developments, recommending increases or decreases in staff, planning and delegating work assignments, providing training, reviewing position documentation, evaluating performance and salaries, recommending changes and personnel actions, maintaining discipline, recommending corrective action as warranted. Assists Health Officer with interviewing applicants, hiring, and terminating personnel as necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in public health, Environmental Science, Biology, or related field with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
