  •  Assistance in preparing to do business with the federal , local, municipal government, including the identification of procurement opportunities , obtaining certifications , bid analysis and proposal preparation .
  • Access to various market intelligence to identify contract opportunities, potential customers and strategic partners (i.e. GovWin IQ , Hoover 's, among others ) .
  • Assistance in forming strategic alliances and / or commercial companies to unite knowledge, skills and / or resources , in turn sharing profits and risks.
  • Assistance in identifying export opportunities in Colombia and preparing the export process. ( In the case of Colombian entrepreneurs who have their business in the U.S. and want to export to Colombia )
  • Access to bank loans and lines of credit, insurance and "bonding" required for government contracts , capital investments , mergers and / or acquisitions, financing alternatives for small businesses (i.e. factoring) The Colombia-Texas Chamber of Commerce –CTCC–participated in the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, and the Business Roundtable Discussion with the Office of the National Director of the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), organized by the Houston MBDA Business Center.
    With this event the operations of the Houston MBDA Business Center - an agency operated by the Houston Community College, were inaugurated. The event served also as an opportunity to discuss about the "minority-owned businesses challenges” with representatives of the MBDA, an agency of the United States Department of Commerce that promotes growth and competitiveness of minority business owners.
     
    CTCC has a cooperative agreement with the Houston MBDA Business Center to create value to its members by providing tools and services to help them grow their business.
