The Banquet was a great event. Many thanks to ALL who worked so hard to produce the 2015 Edition. Thanks to HISD for the facility use. Billy Riggs gave a great presentation and provided everyone with thought provoking laughter. Congratulations to Steve Hodges as Citizen of the Year and to Terry Caviness as the newest inductee into the Chamber Hall of Fame. A special thanks to all of our sponsors. Without them, we could not have such a quality banquet each year.
     

We have two new members in our Chamber family. Hereford Vape Shop located on 385 next door to Verizon Wireless and Sides Electric, Inc. located on Pine Street just North of Casa Abalos. We have scheduled a ribbon cutting for Cass Burns at Hereford Vape Shop for Tuesday, Feb. 24th at 10:00 a.m. and we will schedule one for Sides Electric as soon as possible. Please make contact with these two new businesses and make them feel welcome to our Chamber family.

As we continue our Chamber journey throughout the course of 2015, we ask that you watch your emails occasionally for Broadcast messages that we send as reminders for events and Chamber activity. 

  Our next Mix & Mingle will be held at Deaf Smith Electric Cooperative on Thursday, February 19th. Thanks to Mike Veazey and his staff for hosting this fun event. Everyone needs to bring plenty of business cards to exchange with fellow members. The event is come and go and will begin at 5:00p.m. and conclude at 6:30p.m. Snacks and refreshments will be served. You must be present to win door prizes. You need to call  the Chamber with your reservations by Wednesday, February 18th. We need to inform DSEC so they will know how many to prepare for. You may also register on-line at our website (www.herefordtx.org). Just click on the scrolling green button and you will be directed to a REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT button.  Be watching for the registration of the new
Chamber Super Shoot trap event coming on April 25th & 26th at the Hereford Gun Club. This will be a 5 person team event. We will be circulating flyers and advertising soon. Entry will be the first 20 paid teams and will be suspended when those are secured. Full details will be forthcoming and we want you to start thinking about this event. Call Sid at the Chamber for early information.

We will be starting on the Tierra Blanca Classic golf tournament very soon. It will be on June 26th, 27th, & 28th this year. Sign up date for the waiting list will be St. Patricks Day (March 17th). Even though sign up is for the waiting list, you really want to be here at the Chamber on the morning of the 17th of March to get placed. We generally always get several teams from the list into the tournament. SO....be there and sign up.
