The Chamber Banquet was a huge success this year. Congratulations to Cody Chandler upon receiving the Chamber Hall of Fame Award and to Jerry O'Connor receiving the Citizen of the Year Award. Our President Brenda Fuentes did a fabulous job as Mistress of Ceremonies. We want to thank everyone involved for helping to make this such a success, especially our decorating committee. Riney Jordan was an outstanding speaker and left us all with a thought provoking message. He was very complimentary of our Chamber and our Community. This certainly speaks volumes about our wonderful community. We are already planning for next year and will begin our speaker search in March. If anyone has recommendations, please contact us at the Chamber and we will visit with you about your recommendation. The Banquet "kick starts" the year for us and if this is any indication, we will have a very successful 2014. We look forward to working with everyone during the next year to make Hereford the best it can be. Remember, "A winning attitude and a winning spirit, It's what makes Hereford GREAT!"

The next Chamber Member Mix & Mingle is scheduled for Thursday, February 27, 2014 and will be held at the brand new Amarillo College Campus. This is a member only event and is restricted to members, member businesses, and employees of member businesses. Mix and Mingle will begin at 5:00 PM and will last until 6:30 PM. It is a come and go affair and dress is business casual. Be sure and bring lots of business cards to exchange with your fellow members. This is a fun and fellowship event and you will get the opportunity to meet members you may not know or see those you haven't seen in a while. Come on out and join us at AC on February 27th for an exciting time of fun and fellowship.

Every year the TBC Committee meets early and evaluates any and all aspects of the Tierra Blanca Classic Golf Tournament. We recommend and make any changes that will ultimately improve the tournament. The committee met and determined that a date change is necessary in order to give the City more time to get the course in shape and to give Mother Nature time to assist in making it the best it can be. The staff at the City does such a tremendous job in preparing for the tournament. Unfortunately, we are faced each year with drought situations that prevent the best possible condition of the course. Therefore, we are making the date change of the tournament to the last full weekend in June which is June 27th, 28th, and 29th for this year. We sincerely hope that all sponsors and player teams will understand the change and the necessity to do so. We will be contacting sponsors and player teams in the next few weeks to solicit your continued participation. We are confident that the date change will enhance the tournament conditions and that it should not present difficulties for those participating. Please make your plans for the new Tierra Blanca Classic date.

The Chamber will be launching our annual SUPER RAFFLE  soon. This years prize will be an expense paid vacation for four to Disney in Orlando, Florida. There will be other prizes as well for Visa Cards. More information will be available in future editions. Just keep watching the Calender of Events as we prepare to launch with specific information.
