About Us
The lush forests and scenic grandeur of the High Sierra welcomes the vacationer to Elwell Lakes Lodge. Nestled in a pine and fir forest at the end of a mountain road, it will take you back to an earlier era when you reach your destination. Built in 1920, the lodge has retained its rustic qualities while providing all of the modern amenities. Still owned and operated by the original family, we take pride in offering our guests the same homey atmosphere that attracted our first customers. Cozy housekeeping cabins provide the perfect "basecamp" for families, couples or individuals to enjoy the pleasures of the outdoors without sacrificing comfort. Each cabin has all of its pots, pans, dishes and linens provided plus kitchen and bathroom facilities. All you need to bring is your food! Numerous well-marked and maintained trails radiate from Elwell Lakes Lodge.
