About Us

High Country Inn
is located in western Sierra County, California. We are just off Highway 49, the famous "Golden Chain Highway" that winds its way through the historic California Gold Rush country of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The North Yuba River flows swiftly by, literally at our doorstep. The awesome Sierra Buttes tower above us, providing an incredible backdrop to the beauty of the Inn itself. The Sierra Buttes in the fall, with our pond in the foreground. The Inn is open all year, and all the outdoor activities of our area are close by.
