About Us
Wood's Fire and Emergency Services has been in operation since 1986. We are a government services contract fire fighting company with a timber operators license to be able to provide "Fire Safe" consultation and reduction services to land & home owners in Plumas & Sierra Counties. We are able to thin and limb timber, chip, mow and rake large and small acreage to provide defensible space with our low impact ASV rubber tracked vehicle. We specialize in prescribed burn and pile burning services also. We provide training and consultation services for Barricade Fire Blocking Gel for the individual home owner, Homeowner Associations, Fire Districts and any group. We sell Barricade Home Defense Kits via internet or our local sales location in Portola, CA. Home Defense Kits allow a homeowner to "treat" their home with a water based, 100% biodegradable gel before a fire and evacuation with a hose attachment. Clean-up is with a strong stream of water or power washer. No harm to animals, fish or environment.
