Mark your calendars!  July 4th in downtown Eastland!  We'll kick the day off with The Star-Spangled Banner and Pledge of Allegiance to our flag at 9:00 AM, followed by patriotic music throughout the day on the south side of the Courthouse.

The children's parade will start at 10:00 AM from the Victor Cornelius parking lot, proceeding down Commerce Street to Lamar, then south to the Coats Furniture/First Baptist Church parking lot.  Prizes will be given for the best decorated bicycle, best decorated wagon or cart, best decorated motorized toy vehicle, and best patriotic costume. We'll have vendor booths of all types this year, and we'll again be serving FREE hotdogs with orange drink and water beginning at 11:00 AM.  Free jump houses will be available for the kids.

At 1:00 PM, we'll judge the entries in the home-made ice cream contest, followed by judging of the pies/cobblers at 2:00 PM.  No entry fee this year for the contests, but the prizes will remain the same, $60 for first place, $40 for second place, and $20 for third place in each of the categories.

Come down to the Square on July 4th and help celebrate our great Nation's 237th birthday!  You'll love being a part of an old-fashion 4th of July celebration!
