About Us
Welcome To Northern Nevada Center for Independent Living
NNCIL has three offices. The main office in Sparks was founded in 1982, with two outlying rural offices opening in February and April of 1994. Our agency is a nonprofit, consumer based, consumer driven organization providing quality support services to individuals with disabilities. Our emphasis is on the Independent Living Philosophy, which strongly encourages people with disabilities to live their lives to the maximum degree of independence. We believe that EVERYONE has the right and responsibility to make choices in his or her own lives and have the opportunity to experience success and failure. This allows an individual, regardless of the severity of his or her disability the potential to grow, develop and share fully in the joys and responsibilities of society.
