Emmet County Honorees The Iowa Lakes Corridor held it's annual Business Recognition Luncheon on Wednesday November 19 where it recognized two Emmet County locals! Join us on Thursday December 4th from 5-7pm as we make Estherville the most magicial winter wonderland! Winter Nights, Holiday Lights will feature horse drawn wagon rides and carolers. It will be the first night of Santa's House, so bring the kid's and their lists to meet Mr. Clause! TUBACHRISTMAS will be performing all evening starting at 6pm at Estherville Hotel & Suites and 6:30pm at the Methodist Church. The grand finale at 7pm at Library Square (in the library if cold) where the Tubas join up with the carolers for a sing along for the whole family! It's fun for the whole family! Christmas Tree Decorating Contest Tis the season to decorate trees!! From November 29th through December 6th Estherville will be having a Christmas Tree Decorating Contest! Chamber Member Businesses are encouraged to decorate a Christmas Tree of any size or shape in their business or store! The community is then invited to visit those businesses and vote for their favorite tree!! When you vote you are entered into a drawing to win $100 to be given to any Emmet County Charity of your choice in your name! The winning tree will win treats to share!! TUBACHRISTMAS It's time to start thinking about registering for TUBACHRISTMAS 2014 in Estherville. If you like to play the Tuba come celebrate the holidays with us! Avera Auxiliary "Holiday Wreath Extravaganza" The Annual Avera Holy Family Auxiliary “Holiday Wreath Extravaganza” is coming up soon. Avera is looking for businesses interested in donating wreaths for the annual fundraiser to be given away during the Holiday Coffee hosted by the Auxiliary on Thursday, December 11^th. In an effort to go green the Auxilary will not be sending out hard copy letters so please share this email with the appropriate person in your office. 2014 Community Christmas Project Since 1982 the Estherville Area Ministerial Association has sponsored an annual Community Christmas Project, in cooperation with the Department of Human Services and Upper Des Moines Opportunity, for those in need in Emmet County. All contributions to this effort remain in Emmet County, and all who benefit reside in Emmet County.
