Thanks! Iowa Lakes Corridor economic indicators The Iowa Lakes Corridor is nearing the end of its fiscal year, and has sent out a snapshot of the economic indicators of its four county region. Included in this newsletter are local option sales tax payments, hotel/motel tax summary, retail sales tax by county and city, and building permits and value. Nearly all indicators are positive in comparison to Fiscal Year 2012. If you haven’t been to Thrifty’s in a while, be sure to come in and welcome new manager Kelli Simmonds and see what’s changed. They are excited to host Business After 5 and hope to see you there! Time: 5-7pm Date: Tuesday May 14th Place: Thrifty’s, 11 North 6th Street, Estherville North Star Triathlon/5K/Kids Triathlon The Estherville Regional Wellness Center (RWC) is pleased to announce the date of Saturday, May 25th for their 5th Annual “North Star” Triathlon, 9th Annual 5K Run/Walk, and Kids Triathlon. The RWC is hosting these events to promote fitness and health in Northwest Iowa. The 8th Annual RWC 5K will kick off the day’s activities at 8am and will start and end at the RWC. Downtown Market opens on Thursday June 13 from 5-7pm in Library Square. The first night will feature music by Amber Norgaard. The market runs each Thursday (except July 4) until September 5. The Rumbles will be in town for a FREE concert on Saturday, June 29th. We'll open up the grounds at 7pm, with the concert starting at 8.30pm. There will be food for sale, a beer garden so bring a picnic blanket and chairs to Iowa Lakes Community College. It's going to be a great night out in Estherville! Click HERE for more info. The 65th Annual Estherville Flight Breakfast will be Thursday, July 4 from 7-11am. We'll have our usual great menu of pancakes, eggs, sausages and beverages plus entertainment! Downtown Market vendors wanted Vendor registration for the third season of the Estherville Downtown Market is now open. A season pass for vendors is just $20, and that is payable upon registration.
