2nd Annual Octoberfest 5K Octoberfest 5K The 2nd annual Octoberfest 5K Fun Run and Walk was this last Saturday October 5th. The event was held at Fort Defiance State Park and started with a Free Kids Fun Run at 10am and a 5K at 10:30am followed by s'mores to celebrate. We had 35 runners sign up and 28 finish! The weather was beautiful for a run or walk and park was starting to change colors! Please join us and bring along any prospective members! We will be having a fall picnic at the Estherville Golf Course from 5-7pm tomorrow night Tuesday October 8th! Fright Hike - New Event! The Chamber will be hosting a Fright Hike through the Haunted Forest on Halloween night from 7-9:30pm at Fort Defiance State Park! Bring your flash lights and be ready to get scared! Cost is $5 per person and proceeds will go to the Estherville Chamber and the Friends of Fort Defiance! If you are interested in helping with this event we will be having a planning meeting tonight(Monday 10/7) at 5:15 at the Chamber offices! Healthiest State Walk The Emmet County Wellness Coalition would like to invite you to join them on Wednesday October 9th for the Healthiest State Walk! The main walk will be at Library Square from 11:30am to 1:30pm with the majority walking at noon. Burn some calories during your lunch hour with friends! It's October which means it's time for pumpkins, costumes and trick-or-treating! This year the Estherville Business Trick-or-Treat night will be Thursday October 24th from 5-6pm or until the candy runs out! Get the kids dressed up and go to all the local businesses with Jack-o-Latern stickers in their windows or doors for goodies! New Membership Year The 2014 Membership year officially started!
