From the Office of Assemblyman Kevin Kiley

Hi all,

I wanted to take a moment to share some resources that have come into our office recently that may be helpful to you and your staff as you collaborate with both business owners and workers about combating the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of these resources may be duplicative – but, I hope the below is helpful to you! I know that I have listed a lot of information, but figured it was best to pass along more instead of less! Please see, below:

3.       Helpful resources related to worker relief: (Please see the attached for a one page summary/ list of resources for workers.)
a.       If you’re unable to work due to having or being exposed to COVID-19 (certified by a medical professional), you can file a Disability Insurance claim.

c.       If your child’s school is closed, and you have to miss work to be there for them, you may be eligible for Unemployment Insurance benefits.
d.      If your employer has reduced your hours or shut down operations due to COVID-19, you can file an Unemployment Insurance claim.
