A Great Organization!

Jenny Early

We would like to welcome The Southern Humboldt County Technical Rescue Team as one of our newest Chamber members!

Tech Rescue provides rescue services to the remote and rugged rural area of Southern Humboldt County!

Their response area measures roughly 1000 square miles, including the Mattole River, much of the Eel River, and 35 miles of the Lost coast!

This well educated, hardworking, driven and much appreciated group is made up entirely of volunteer firefighters, who in addition to their fire education have trained extensively in rope rescue, swift water and flood rescue, urban and wilderness search and rescue, and emergency medical services.

If you have an emergency in a location that is steep, wet, or otherwise inaccessible, they are coming for you!

As the crew likes to say; “We don’t want you to have a bad day, but we want to be there when you do".

Thank you Tech Rescue for going above and beyond to help keep our community members safe! We are proud to stand behind you and we salute you!

For more information about this organization or to contact them you can send an email to: sohumtechrescue@gmail.com.

An excellent Non-Profit Corporation!

Jenny Early

Please welcome The Humboldt Lodging Alliance to the team!

The Humboldt Lodging Alliance is a 501c6 non-profit corporation and is the official owner's association for the Humboldt County lodging industry.

Their goals are:

To serve as the management entity for the Humboldt County Tourism Business Improvement Disctrict.  HLA receives the assessment funds and spends them to increase overnight stays in Humboldt County.

To give the lodging industry a greater voice.  When Hoteliers, innkeepers and property managers speak with a united voice, they get heard.  Issues like signage, street cleaning, panhandling, permits and the reinvestment of transient occupancy tax money into tourism promotion affect the entire industry.

As of March 2018, the Humboldt Lodging Alliance Board of Directors for Humboldt County SOUTH are:

John Porter - Managing Partner, Benbow Inn & Resort

Mike Caldwell - Owner of Inn of the Lost Coast

Jim Johnson - Owner of Best Western/Humboldt House Inn

For  more information on The Humboldt Lodging Alliance, go to http://www.humboldtlodging.com

Thank you HLA for joining our team, we look forward to continuing our partnership!
