A note of thanks from our Chairman of the Board

As we gather with family and friends for this holiday season, I would like to take a just a moment to thank all of our Chamber members for your support during this most difficult economic year. We realize that your membership and/or sponsorship investment, as well as your personal time commitment to our events and programs are a choice….one that you consciously have made to better your business and our community. We appreciate the decision you have made to invest with us and we value your continued faith in the Chamber to provide programs and services that will help your business through these economic times.

The Chamber has been directly affected by our economy as well, and your board of directors has been able to adjust our budget, staffing and programming without compromising our service to our members.
However, if we are to continue to provide the same level of service to our members in 2010, we need your support!

While 2009 has certainly been a year of ups and downs, the Chamber was successful in lobbying for pro business measures at the state capitol, created new business opportunities through our Trade Mission to China, partnered with the City, GCC, and ASU West to implement a successful business retention program, and significantly upgraded our web presence to provide more direct business benefits to our members.

I thank you once again for your support in making my year as Chairman of the Board a successful one, and ask that you make a New Year’s Resolution to continue to invest in the Glendale Chamber of Commerce in 2010 and beyond. Have a Wonderful Holiday Season!
