Huntington Learning Center Glendale Honors Educators

National Teacher Day originated in 1944 when Arkansas teacher Mattye Whyte Woodridge began corresponding with political and education leaders about the need for a national day to honor teachers. Woodbridge wrote to Eleanor Roosevelt, who in 1953 persuaded the 81st Congress to proclaim a National Teacher Day.

"We'd also like to take this time out to recognize our own team of educators for their hard work and dedication in tutoring local children," Tozzo added. "The staff of Huntington Learning Center Glendale, all of whom are actual K-12 teachers, provides children with tutoring and supplemental instruction in reading, phonics, writing and mathematics, as well as in study skills, exam preparation and other academic needs. I applaud our team for their continued efforts in helping build a more confident and motivated generation of youth in our community."
