The company, which spun off from People Trust and Savings Bank in 1972,  provides land brokerage, land management, land investment and appraisal services to customers in 14 Midwestern states.

The firm is picky about hiring, Rozenboom said, as managers examine candidates based on how they will fit into the office culture. She said employees must be enterprising, as the company has expanded beyond its roots as an agricultural brokerage. It now works in land management, conservation and appraisals."You have to be energetic," she said. "Almost kind of an entrepreneur, because you’re always thinking of the next big thing and what we can do to keep growing. That's a big part of where our success has come from."
