CEOs Will Weigh in on Important Topics in Advance of Caucus Day

The Iowa Caucus Consortium will host a CEO Roundtable event inviting CEOs from Greater Des Moines to discuss what is important on the political front to them and their business. The event will take place from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden, 909 Robert D. Ray Drive.

Panelists for the CEO Roundtable will include:

FORMER SECRETARY OF COMMERCE TO SPEAK ON IMMIGRATION ON JAN. 22
Event is the final of the Iowa Caucus Consortium Federal Issues Series

The Iowa Caucus Consortium is pleased to announce details for the final event of its Federal Issues Series, focused on immigration. Carlos Gutierrez, former U.S. Secretary of Commerce and Former CEO of Kellogg Company, will speak on the importance of immigration reform as a business issue that will affect the Iowa Caucuses and ensuing presidential election. The event will take place on Friday, Jan. 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the State Historical Building, 600 E. Locust St. The event, presented by Microsoft, is free and open to the public. The Federal Issues Series allows Greater Des Moines community members and business leaders to learn about key issues facing presidential candidates on the campaign trail. The Consortium held the first event in this series, “Debt Matters,” on Oct. 1, held the second event focused on national security on Oct. 21, and held the third event focused on agriculture and bioscience on Nov. 23. Microsoft is the presenting sponsor for the series. This series is a continuation of the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s Federal Issues Series that began with events in February and March of 2015.
