Mark your calendars and plan to attend the Indianola Fire Department and Noon Lions Club on February 28, 2015 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for unlimited pancakes and sausage! Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under.

Beginning February 26th, for 5 weeks, a new event will be released from CrossFit HQ at games.crossfit.com.  All of the local CrossFit 65/69 athletes will come together Friday night at 6:00 p.m. to compete in the "Friday Night Lights" event. This is open to the public so you can cheer on your friends and neighbors and see what the CrossFit community is all about.
 
The mission at CrossFit 65/69 is to empower our community, educate them, and inspire a life of wellness with such enthusiasm that our community is impassioned to share this empowerment in their daily lives. Competition helps with the ‘inspire’ part: the pressure to perform pushes you to train harder; the social boost of dozens of your best friends cheering for you will help you reach a higher level. Plus, seeing your friends push themselves is INSPIRING.
 
Last year, we had 5 new members compete in this event.  This year we have 28 competitors representing CrossFit 65/69.  Come join the fun at CrossFit 65/69 on the square!

Spring may seem like an unlikely word in our vocabulary these days, but it really is coming! Taylor Floral and Gifts is hosting a Spring Open House on March 5-7, 2015. Thursday and Friday will have the Open House begin at 9 a.m. and end at 5. On Saturday, it will begin at 9 and end at 4 p.m. There will be all kinds of specials and in-store coupons! Also, if you whisper the word, "EGG", you will receive 25% off of 1 regularly priced item of your choice!

 The Open Air Market will be held July 25, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Indianola Square around the Courthouse. The Market kicks off the National Balloon Classic, which draws thousands of visitors each year to our community.  

Vendor registration is $25 for one booth or $50 for two.  Food vendor registration is $75. A special registration rate is available for Farmers Market vendors relocating to the square for the day of $10.  There is a $5 charge for electricity.  Vendors will need to provide their own electrical cords.
