Indiaonla Hosts 2015 Special Olympics-West Central Area Spring Games

900+ Guests to Welcome

The 2015 Special Olympics-West Central Area Spring Games will be held at the Indianola Middle School and Indianola YMCA on April 7, 2015.  For businesses with electronic signs, please post a special welcome to participants and their families.  They have worked very hard to make it here.  Events such as these have a huge economic impact to our community.  Let's show them how glad we are that they are here!

Restaurants stand ready.  They will definitely be looking for some good eats or special treats!

The Track and Field events will be at the middle school and the swimming events will be at the Indianola Y. There will be 900 athletes competing for the chance to advance to the state games in May. Opening Ceremonies will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the last event starts at 1:30 p.m.. (Swimming competition is done by 11:30 a.m.) Stop in to cheer on the many athletes that have worked so hard to perfect their skills. It is an experience you won't want to miss.

HUGE Easter Egg Hunt!!

Do you enjoy the hot air balloons? Need a fun place to search for Easter eggs? Well, now you can see both - Easter eggs being dropped from the sky!

This fun, community event will be put on by the First Assembly of God. It will be a HUGE Easter egg hunt at the National Balloon Classic Balloon Field on Saturday April 4, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. 

Approximately 10,000 eggs will be dropped from hot air balloons onto the field at approximately 5 p.m.  A sight not to miss! There will also be a petting zoo, inflatables, and much more! 

Don't miss this exciting event while remembering the reason for the season! Have a "Hoppy" Easter!

Iowa Energy Chamber Night April 4th!

Enjoy chamber night with the Greater Des Moines Partnership and the Iowa Energy on Saturday, April 4, 2015!  This is an excellent way for regional chamber members to network and enjoy the Iowa Energy game together! Game time is 7 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Arena.
