Vote May 3 on Warren County Justice Center Bond

It Doesn't Count if You Don't Vote!

On May 3, 2016, residents of Warren County have the opportunity to vote YES or NO for a $35 million Justice Center Bond, which will correct the outdated and unsafe working conditions of the Warren County Jail, Courhouse and Emergency (E911) Facility.

The $35 million bond will provide for the design, construction, land acquisition, and other related costs for an All-In-One Justice Center that will be constructed on an undetermined site North of Indianola.  The plans do not include explanation of what will happen to the existing bulding.

The referendum will pass with 60% of the votes cast as YES!  As in any election, your vote counts!  Vote early through an absentee ballot or get yourself to the polls on May 3!

Warren County Well Testing

Many of the wells still in use today in Warren County were constructed in a manner that does not meet modern construction standards or adequately protect the quality of the water.  Some of these wells are good enough that they can be renovated by reconstructing the top ten feet of the well.  Many others are so poorly constructed that they can only be abandoned, plugged and replaced by another water source.

Contact Warren County Health Services at 515-961-1074 if you have an abanoned well or have questions about your current well.
