Some Thoughts on Punctuality
Punctuality: there are few life habits or personal practices that can provoke a reaction in others more readily than punctuality.
 
As a society, here in the US, we once had fairly consistent standards around timeliness and start times. Workplaces were much more formal and, as some have suggested, it was much harder to change plans, or alert of tardiness at the last minute, leaving us to be on time. In other cultures around the world, time has always been a bit more fluid.

Congratulations Indianola High School Girls Basketball



Congratulations to the IHS High School girls basketball team for qualifying for the state girls basketball tournament!  This marks the first time the Indians will go to state as a            Class 5A school.

Good luck to the IHS boys basketball team on their journey to the state basketball tournament!

Greater Des Moines (DSM) will host the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Convention on July 17 through 20. This is the nation’s largest annual gathering of people who work for and with Chambers of Commerce.

The Putt Putt and Pints event offers participants a unique golfing experience at local establishments and will help raise funds for a local charity.  A portion of the proceeds raised will be presented to the Indianola Community School District "Feed the Kids" food program.

Teams of four will be awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for their overall score. Awards for the “Best Dressed” team and door prizes are also up for grabs.

Team registration is $100.
