Greetings Fellow Members,

For those members that haven't heard, we recently celebrated the Grand Opening of our new Palmdale Chamber's office space located at 943 E Palmdale Blvd. Not only will this office space give us a much-needed presence in the City of Palmdale, but also symbolically represents the continued unity we strive for between the cities of Lancaster and Palmdale.  I'd like to thank everyone that was able to attend the Ceremony!

February means we've already knocked out the first month of the year, and I couldn't be happier with the engagement the Chamber is receiving. 2023 is looking bright and I hope our members continue to utilize the tools our Chamber can provide. Specifically, please check out the Chamber Talk podcast and let us know if you're interested in representing your business or organization on the podcast. Stress can be harmful to our health and increase mental health challenges. Mental health challenges can include clinical mental illness and substance use disorders as well as other emotions like stress, grief, feeling sad and anxious, where these feelings are temporary and not part of a diagnosable condition. While there are many things in life that induce stress, work can be one of those factors.

 

However, workplaces can also be a key place for resources, solutions, and activities designed to improve our mental health and well-being.

Workplace stress and poor mental health can negatively affect workers through:

• Job performance
• Productivity
• Work engagement and communication
• Physical capability and daily functioning
